Nursery Style

Adding style to your nursery

Sourcing original pieces for your child’s bedroom or playroom can often prove challenging. Many interiors experts are now turning to handmade or personalised products that combine attractive design and practicality to bring a unique sense of style to the nursery space. Here are a few things you can try to achieve a fun and functional space for your little ones.

  • Find a bespoke toy chest – a great hideaway for dolls, cars and models at the end of each day
  • Use your child’s bed or cot as a centrepiece. Bespoke beds aren’t a new idea, but it’s important to choose the right design.
  • Where possible, choose pieces that will last. While some aspects of a room will need to be updated as your child grows and matures, such as the bed and toys, be sure to look out for furniture that will stand the test of time.
  • Give traditional ideas a new twist. Most playrooms across the country boast a door frame littered with pencil marks tracking the children’s ever growing stature. Why not make this tradition a design feature with a height chart ruler.
